SilverGuard SI Hosted a Booth at the Inaugural CUHK LEAP
SilverGuard SI (formerly known as SilverGuard AI) hosted a booth at the inaugural CUHK LEAP on 9 and 10 October 2026, at the Yasumoto International Academic Park. The new flagship platform merges CUHK's Entrepreneur Day and Innovation Day under the theme Innovation to Impact, drawing over 1,500 visitors to meet 45 CUHK entrepreneurial teams. Our team presented our privacy-first aged care safety platform, and spent both days on adoption, measurement and who pays for the outcome.

SilverGuard AI Presented to Hong Kong's Public and Industry Leaders
SilverGuard AI joined an enterprise exchange session organised by the CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute (SZRI) and Ehub, presenting our privacy-first aged care safety platform to senior management from the Hospital Authority, the Hong Kong Housing Society, the Airport Authority, power companies, and the insurance and construction sectors. In-depth discussions with Hospital Authority management followed, covering what deployment requires in practice.

SilverGuard has been named a Top 10 Finalist and received the Best in HealthTech Innovation distinction at the HKMA/HKT Global Innovation Award 2025/26, and was recognised with a Startup Star Bronze Award at Global Innovation Day 2026. The recognition reflects our work applying SI (Superintelligence) · AI (artificial intelligence) to aged care safety.

SILVERGUARD Trademark Registration Certificate Issued in Hong Kong
The Hong Kong registration certificate for the SILVERGUARD trademark (Class 9: software, sensors and monitoring devices) has been issued. The mark is also registered in Mainland China, alongside a United States provisional patent application covering our closed-loop safety and compliance system.

SilverGuard established its Shenzhen entity on 3 March 2026, extending the company's Hong Kong base into the Greater Bay Area. The new entity supports collaboration with care and gerontech partners across the region.

SilverGuard has been admitted to the CUHK InnoHub for New Quality Industries in Qianhai, Shenzhen. The incubation space connects the team with the Greater Bay Area research and startup community as development of our aged care safety platform continues.

We have officially submitted our application to the Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme (DARS) organised by HKIRC, targeting both the Gold Award and the Elderly-Friendly Award. Our website now meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards with features including adjustable text sizes, high-contrast mode, keyboard navigation, and multilingual support.

SilverGuard AI co-founders Sonia Chu and Ashluc Chui joined the 35th anniversary banquet of The Nethersole School of Nursing at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Our engineering team has completed integration of the Hailo-8L SI accelerator with our Raspberry Pi 5 edge computing units. This enables real-time fall detection inference at the edge with under 100ms latency, dramatically reducing cloud dependency and ensuring resident privacy by keeping video data on-premise.

Phase 1 Zone-Based Fall Detection System Officially Launched
We are proud to announce the official launch of SilverGuard Phase 1, a zone-based fall detection system that transforms existing CCTV infrastructure into intelligent safety monitoring. Using YOLOv8 computer vision, the system detects falls in monitored zones and alerts staff in real time, with future phases to include individual risk scoring and predictive analytics.

Social Impact Programme: "1 for 10" Initiative Announced
We have launched our Social Impact Programme: for every 10 paid beds under SilverGuard monitoring, we donate one SI-powered safety licence to an NGO-operated care home. This initiative reflects our belief that every elderly resident deserves access to preventive safety technology, regardless of their facility's budget.
